Strict adj. 嚴厲的,嚴格的,多用句型 be strict with sb. , be strict in sth.eg:The teacher is very strict with his students.He is very

It doesnt matter if a teacher is not organized.注意句型 it matters +(to sb.)+if 從句(wh-從句) (對某人而言)是重要的 eg:If matters little if I miss my bus. 即使我沒搭上公共汽車也沒什么大不了的。It doesnt matter to me whether she is pleased or not. 他滿意與否對我而言并不重要。3. She avoids making you feel stupid.avoid vt. 避免
3、;避開;逃避(后接名詞或動名詞,也就是-ing 形式)eg:He hid himself behind the tree in order to avoid being seen by her .她躲在樹后以免被她看見。4. I feel Im going to make progress with her.Make progress 取得進步,progress 是一個不可數(shù)名詞eg:Im sure Im making much progress. 我確信我在取得很大進步。5. Ive always hated making mistakes or pronouncing a word inc

He talks loudly and fast, and waves his hands about a lot when he gets excited.get 是一個系動詞,意為“變得”表動作轉(zhuǎn)變 eg:get hurt 受傷,get done 做完了10. Its up to you. 這件事由你決定。 Its up to sb.(to do sth.)由某人
7、決定,是某人的責任 eg:Its up to him to decide it. 這件事由他決定。Its up to us to help those in need. 我們有責任幫助有困難的人。Its not up to you to tell me how to do my job. 我怎么干我的工作不用你多嘴。11. GrammarVerbs followed by ing 動名詞作賓語的用法動名詞是由動詞加上-ing 構成的,在句中作主語、表語、賓語和定語,其中作賓語的情況最復雜,也最重要,是本單元的重點。這里將其用法分幾種情況加以講解:(1)只能接動名詞作賓語的動詞:admit, a
8、void, consider, finish, excuse, enjoy, mind, imagine, permit, miss, risk, practise, suggest, dislike, escape, appreciate, forgive, keep, advise 等。例句:The boy admitted being careless. 這個孩子承認他太大意了。Mary is considering going abroad. 瑪麗正在考慮出國。He really appreciates having time to relax. 有空休息一下,他真高興。(2)下列動詞
9、既可接動名詞又可接不定式作賓語,含義基本相同:begin, start, continue, propose 等例句:Then we began making/ to make plans for the work. 然后我們開始制定工作計劃。I propose making/ to make a change in the plan. 我建議把計劃作一些改動。(3)like, love, hate, prefer 等動詞后可接動名詞或不定式,但有區(qū)別。后接動名詞時,表示習慣性的、一般性的動作,接不定式,通常表示某一次的,具體的動作。例句:I prefer watching TV to goi
10、ng to the cinema.I prefer to watch TV rather than go to the cinema tonight.(4)stop, try, regret 等動詞后接動名詞和不定式意義有區(qū)別。例句:She stopped writing the letter. 停止寫信She stopped to write the letter. 停下來去寫信The doctors tried to save her life. 盡力救The doctors tried talking in English. 嘗試用英語交談(5)need, require, want 做
11、“需要”講時, 主語多為某物,后多用動名詞表被動。 例句:My bike needs mending. 我的自行車需要修理了。用心 愛心 專心The room wants painting. 房屋需要粉刷?!镜湫屠}典型例題】1.
