1、Module 3 詞語辨析
answer和reply均有“回答”之意，但它們的用法有區(qū)別。
1. answer主要用于對問題等的回答，后面可直接跟賓語；reply多用于對問題作出解釋、辯論或陳述性回答，跟賓語時須與 to 連用。如：
Who can answer this question?
誰會回答這個問題？
Mike replied to his mother.
邁克答復(fù)了他的母親。
2． 二者作名詞時， answer 可表示對電話、敲門等作出的“應(yīng)答”，而reply 則不能。如：
Can you answer the telephone, please?

alive, living & lively
1. alive意為“活著的，在世上”，在句中常作表語或定語。作定語時，一般要放在所修飾詞之后。如：
Is your grandfather still alive?
你爺爺還在世嗎？
The fish was caught alive.
我們捉了一條活魚。
2. living意為“活著的”，在句中常作表語或定語。如：
All living things need water and air.
所有的生命都需要水和空氣。
Shelly was still living when Keats died

3. lively意為“活潑的，生動的”，在句中可作表語或定語。如：
She is a lively child and everyone likes her. 她是個活潑的孩子，大家都喜歡她。
The little dog is very lively.
