1、課題: Module 8 Unit 11 can hardly believe we're in the city centre. 一、教學內容分析 本單元的內容圍繞玲玲、大明和托尼游覽北海公園展開,通過他們的對話自然而然地向我們 呈現了 that引導的賓語從句這一目標語言。通過這節(jié)課的學習,學生能夠初步感知和理解that 引導的賓語從句,聽懂并談論旅行經歷和旅行中人物的觀點,感受大自然的美好的同時增強保護 環(huán)境的意識。 二教學目標 Knowledge objectives: 1.Students are able to understand and use the key

2、words & phrases s :hardly, sights, waste, thirsty, point out, take up, at the top of. 2.Students are able to recognize and understand object clauses with "that”. Ability objectives: 1.Students are able to understand the dialogue about the travelling to Beihai Park by listening. 2.Students are a

3、ble to describe and talk about a place of interest. Emotional objective: Students are able to experience the beauty of our nature and develop the awareness of protecting our environment. 三、學習者特征分析 從話題上來看,旅行休閑這個話題對現在的同學們來說并不陌生了,我們這一學期的第二模 塊和剛結束的第七模塊都是與旅行相關的話題,因此學生具備一定的知識儲備。從語法內容上來 看,這是同學們初次正式地

4、接觸賓語從句,不過我們在第六模塊也復習過了簡單句的六種基本句 型,其中的“主謂賓”結構為我們現在學習賓語從句做了鋪墊。 四、教學策略選擇與設計 本節(jié)課是聽說課,旨在通過聽的輸入和說的輸出來幫助同學們鞏固談論旅行經歷的表達能力 同時感知that引導的賓語從句,因此本節(jié)課主要采用情景教學法和交際法。 五、教學重點及難點 1 To understand and use object clauses with "that" correctly. (Reason: object clauses with "that" are the grammar focus of this module

5、 and it's a new language point for students.) 2. To distinguish "hardly" from "hard" correctly. (Reason: it's easy for students to mix the meanings of the two words.) 六、教學過程 教師活動 學生活動 設計意圖 Step 1. Pre-listening 1. Greeting. 2. Show some pictures about one of the students' school trips. Ask

6、 them whether they remember 1. Look at the pictures and answer questions: We went to... It was a wonderful/unforgettable To attract Ss' attention and arouse their interest. where they went and how they felt about the trip. 3. T: When we have time off, we can have a trip. So what's the

7、meaning of "time off"? 4. Free talk. T: I often go to my hometown when I have time off, because I think (that) its very relaxing and meaningful to be with my parents. Then ask Ss to talk about what they often do when they have time off,.eg: A: What do you often do when you have time off? B:

8、 I often ...A: Why ...B: Because I think/believe/hope (that)... 5. T: Some of you choose to have a trip when you have time off, I think it's a good idea and I suggest that you go to ourcapital, Beijing, because there are so many wonderful sights to visit, such as... Ask Ss to think about t

9、he sights in Beijing and then show some pictures of them. Step 2. While-listening 1 Lingling and Tony are talking now , let's listen and find out what place they are talkingabout. 2. Listen again and choose the correct answer.(Activity 2) Remind Ss to pay attention to the subject of each s

10、entence. Listen twice if it is needed. 3. T: Do you want to know more about Beihai Park? Let's not waste time . Follow them! 4. Listen to the long dialogue and choose the correct answer. Ask Ss experience... 2. Ss think about the question and answer. 3. Ss talk in pairs. A: What do you

11、often do when you have time off? B: I often ...A: Why ...B: Because I think/believe/hope (that) 4. Ss talk about the sights they know in Beijing, eg: the Forbidden City, the Great Wall... l.Ss listen and answer: Beihai Park. 2.Ss listen and answer by reading the whole sentence and then

12、translate the sentence into Chinese. 3.Ss read the questions carefully and listen tochoose. To make sure that Ss understand the meaning of the topic "time off" and lead in the free talk . To I lead Ss to show their opinions and lead in the target language. To enjoy the beautiful sights a

13、nd get ready for the following listening. To have an extensive listening. Totrain Ss' listening ability of getting specific information and find out whether they understand object clauses with "that" by asking them to translate the sentences. To develop Ss' habit of reading questions and

14、 options carefully. To train Ss' listening skill: predicting before listening. to read the questions and options carefully and predict the answer. What does Tony think of the park? A. Noisy B. Quiet C. Beautiful Is the park in the city center? A. Yes, it is. B. No, it isn't. C.We don't kno

16、5. Listen again and completethe sentences.(Activity 3) Step 3. Post-listening 1. Read after the tape togetherwith Ss and remind Ss to payattention to the intonation and pronunciation. 2. Ask Ss to read the dialogue by themselves and underline the object clauses . After that, Task Ss to thi

17、nk and conclude briefly. 3. Group work. Play a video about Beihai Park first. And then show some pictures about it. Divide Ss into six groups. One group member work as a guide, and others are visitors. You are in the Beihai Park now . Ask Ss to imagine and make up a conversation between th

18、e guide and visitors with the help of the pictures. Tips: try to use: be famous for, 4.Ss discuss and explain the meaning of "hardly" after answering this question.Then compare it with "hard".(In fact, it has nothing to do with "hard" except the spelling ) 5.Ss listen and answer by readin

19、g the whole sentence. 1. Read after the tape andtry to imitate the intonation . 2. Read the dialogue and underline certain sentences. Discuss the use of object clauses. Work in groups and make up a conversation. Come to the front and act their conversation out. To make sure Ss understand

20、 the meaning of "hardly". To develop Ss' ability of taking notes while listening. To correct Ss' pronunciation and improve Ss' reading. Toenhance Ss understanding of object clauses and get ready for the following group work. To lead Ss to put what they have learnt in practice and learn to
