Unit 4 Then and now Part A 教學內容 Let’s learn, Find the mistakes, Let’s try, Let’s talk 教學目標 【知識目標】 1. 四會詞匯:dining hall, grass, gym, ago 2. 三會詞匯:star, easy, look up, Internet 3. 重點句型:(1)There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. (2)There were no computers or Internet in my time. 【能力目標】 1.掌握表示過去的時間狀語和學校設施詞匯以及部分動詞、短語。 2.能夠運用“There is/was/are/were…”句型談論周邊環(huán)境的變化。 【情感目標】 通過談論和比較過去和現(xiàn)在的變化,讓學生注意觀察身邊環(huán)境的變化,感受時代的變遷以及社會進步,做生活中的有心人。 教學重點 1.掌握單詞與詞組dining hall,grass,gym,ago。 2.過去時間狀語(...years/months ago,last year/month)的運用。 3.能夠運用“There is/was/are/were…”句型談論周邊環(huán)境的變化。 教學難點 句型“There is/are…”和“There was/were…”的區(qū)分及其在實際語境中的具體運用。 教學準備 課本、課件、教學掛圖、本校照片(新舊各一張)、磁帶、錄音機(或其他音頻播放設備)等 課時安排 2課時 第一課時 教學過程 批注 1、 Warm-up & Revision 1.Free talk T:How was your weekend? S1:It was fine. T:Where did you go? S1:I went to... T:How did you go there? S1:By... T:What did you do there? S1:I went fishing./... 2.Go over the phrases of Unit 3: ate fresh food, went swimming, took pictures, bought gifts, rode a horse, rode a bike, went camping, hurt my foot, went fishing. 教師說短語的第一個單詞,學生說出短語,并造一個句子。如: T:Took Ss:Took pictures I took pictures last weekend. (邊做動作邊說) 溫故知新,為新課的學習預熱。 二、Presentation & Practice Let’s learn 1. 教學單詞dining hall, grass, gym Show the picture of grass. T:What’s this? Ss:It’s grass. (板書grass并教讀) Chant: Grass, grass. Play football on the grass. 以同樣的方法教學dining hall, gym。 Chant: Dining hall, dining hall. Have lunch in the dinning hall. Gym, gym. Play basketball in the gym. 2.教學單詞ago及詞組“...years ago, ...months ago ”。 教師先說幾個句子讓學生感受。T:I went fishing three days ago. I went to Beijing two years ago.(板書并教讀ago)讓學生說出“...years ago, ...months ago”的意思并造句。 3.出示課本掛圖,板書并介紹本課重難點句型: —There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. —Now there’s a new one in our school. 教讀、板書“There was/were...years/months ago/last year/month. There is/are...now.”。指導學生注意觀察、比較和總結。 4.播放錄音,學生仿讀。 5.教師呈現(xiàn)本校新舊照片兩張,學生學說句子,描述學校以前和現(xiàn)在的樣子。如:There was no computer room ten years ago. Now there’s a new one in our school. Find the mistakes 1. 呈現(xiàn)課本圖片,師生一起觀察圖片,讀一讀詞匯,看看圖片中都有哪些場所。 2. 創(chuàng)設場景,導入話題。 T:It’s the Tang dynasty. It was more than 1000 years ago. 讓學生想象并說說他們心中的唐代是什么樣子,有哪些場所、物件。 3. 玩“大家來找茬”游戲,完成Find the mistakes部分的課堂活動。 學生先自己讀句子,然后小組合作找出錯誤的地方。 4.鼓勵小組代表上臺仿照例句進行描述,教師給予適當指導。 5.教師匯總并陳述正確、完整的答案。 對于學生難掌握讀音的新單詞,教師要多帶讀幾次。 學生先自己注意觀察,注重自主探究。教師適度指導和幫助。 作業(yè)設計 1.抄寫幾個四會詞匯。 2.自主預習Let’s talk部分課文,在不懂的地方做記號。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now dining hall, gym, grass, ago, ...years ago, ...months ago There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. There is/are...now. 第二課時 教學過程 批注 一、Warm-up & Revision 1.復習上節(jié)課Let’s learn中的詞匯。教師出示圖片,學生說單詞并造句。教師出示單詞卡,全班齊讀并拼寫單詞:dining hall, grass, gym。 2.用ago造句。如:There was a dog in the park five days ago. 二、 Presentation & Practice Let’s try 1.讓學生讀題,帶著問題聽錄音材料。 2.播放錄音,讓學生完成兩個小題。 3.師生核對答案。 Let’s talk 1.教學單詞star, easy, look up, Internet。 (1)畫星星簡筆畫 T:What’s this? Ss:It’s a star. (板書star并教讀)T:Can you spell star? Ss:S-T-A-R,star. T:It is easy. (板書并教讀easy) (2)出示一個星座圖片。 T: Do you know its name? Ss: We don’t know. T: We can look it up on the Internet. (板書look up, Internet講解并教讀) (3)出示有圖書館和沒有圖書館的學校照片,學生說句子Ss: There was no library in the school. Now there’s a new one. 齊讀。 (4)出示有電腦和沒有電腦的學校圖片。T:There were no computers or Internet in my time. (注意are—were)學生反復讀該句子。 2.講解并教讀句子:Tell us about your school, please. How do you know that? 3.學生聽錄音,老師教讀對話。 4.學生自己讀對話,回答問題:What was Grandpa’s school like? 5.學生講解對話,教師補充答疑。 6.Role-play 三人一組練習對話,并請三組學生上臺表演。 以圖片來直觀教學新詞,學生對新詞的記憶更深刻。 作業(yè)設計 1.熟讀Let’s talk部分課文。 2.自主預習B部分的Let’s learn。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now star,easy, look up, Internet There was no library in my old school. Tell us about your school, please. How do you know that? There were no computers or Internet in my time. 本部分以學校的新舊面貌為背景展開,要求學生能夠掌握新學的學校設施單詞dining hall,gym,grass,并靈活運用“There be...”句型的現(xiàn)在時和過去時來表達現(xiàn)在和過去的變化。在教學過程中,教師要注意引導學生區(qū)分過去時和現(xiàn)在時所表達的不同含義,引導學生關注生活環(huán)境的變化,思考社會和時代的變遷。 Part B 教學內容 Let’s learn, Listen, match and say, Let’s try, Let’s talk, Read and write, Let’s check, Let’s wrap it up, Story time (C部分) 教學目標 【知識目標】 1.四會詞匯:cycling,go cycling,ice-skate, badminton 2.三會詞匯:different, active, race, nothing, thought, felt, cheetah, trip, woke, dream 3.重點句子:(1)Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class. (2)I was short, so I couldn’t ride my bike well. Now, I go cycling every day. 【能力目標】 1.能夠聽、說、讀、寫幾個四會詞匯,能夠聽、說、認讀三會詞匯。 2.能夠掌握描述某人今昔對比的句型,能夠自由表達自己的變化。 【情感目標】 通過談論和比較自己過去和現(xiàn)在的一些變化,讓學生留意自己的變化,關注自我,追求進步,更加自信和積極地生活。 教學重點 1.掌握四會詞匯和重點句子。 2.能夠運用現(xiàn)在時和過去時對比描述自己個性、喜好、能力等方面的變化。 教學難點 1.現(xiàn)在時和過去時的區(qū)分和靈活運用。 2.比較和描述自己或他人以前和現(xiàn)在的變化。 教學準備 課本、課件、磁帶、錄音機(或其他音頻播放設備)等 課時安排 4課時 第一課時 教學過程 批注 一、 Warm-up & Revision 1.Go over the words: dining hall, grass, gym, ago(教師出示這四個單詞的圖片,快速點學生說出對應的英文) 2.談論學校的今昔對比。 T:Tell us about your old school, please. S1:There were no computers in my old school. T:How do you know that? S1:Our head teacher told us. 3. 教師播放教材配套英文歌曲“Changes in me”,學生在教師的引導下跟唱,作為課前熱身。 T: Today, we’re going to start to learn Unit 4 Part B. Let’s begin with the song “Changes in me”. 二、Presentation & Practice Let’s learn 1.教學單詞及詞組cycling, go cycling, ice-skate, play badminton。 (1)出示騎車的圖片。T:What sport is it? 板書cycling并教讀。 (2)教師邊做騎車的動作邊說:Go cycling, I can go cycling.。 (3)出示羽毛球拍圖片。 T: Do you like badminton? S1: Yes,I do./No,I don’t. T: Can you play badminton? S2:Yes,I can./No,I can’t. 板書并教讀badminton,play badminton. I can play badminton. (4)出示滑冰的圖片,板書并教讀ice-skate。教師邊做動作邊說:Ice-skate, ice-skate, I can ice-skate. 2.呈現(xiàn)句子:I didn’t like winter before. I thought it was too cold, and I couldn’t go cycling.告訴學生think—thought, can—could。 3.呈現(xiàn)句子:How about now? Now I love to ice-skate, so I like winter. 請學生說出意思,全班齊讀。 4.播放Let’s learn錄音,學生跟讀。 5.學生開火車讀單詞、詞組。 6.學生靈活運用所學單詞及句子表演對話。 Listen,match and say 1.組織學生觀察圖片,寫出相關的動作詞組。如:go swimming, go cycling, cook dinner, play the erhu, ice-skate, play the piano, play badminton。然后“開火車”介紹相關的動作詞組造句。 2.聽錄音,把人物與做的活動圖片連起來。 3.根據(jù)連線同桌對話:Before, Allen couldn’t... Now... 用圖片學習短語,形象、易懂。 再次重復重點句型,幫學生加深印象。 作業(yè)設計 1.抄寫Let’s learn中的詞匯。 2.自主預習Let’s talk課文。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now cycling, go cycling, ice-skate, badminton, play badminton I didn’t like winter before. I thought it was too cold, and I couldn’t go cycling. think—thought can—could How about now? Now I love to ice-skate, so I like winter. 第二課時 教學過程 批注 一、Warm-up & Revision 1. Go over the phrases: go cycling, ice-skate, play badminton. 教師做動作,學生一起說出短語并造句。如:Go cycling, I could go cycling.Ice-skate, I could ice-skate. Play badminton, I could play badminton. 2.齊讀Let’s learn對話并請學生翻譯。 復習上節(jié)課所學內容。 二、Presentation & Practice Let’s try 1.讓學生讀題。 2.教師給學生播放錄音,學生完成兩道選擇題。 3.師生核對答案,教師點撥難點。 Let’s talk 1.教學different。出示自己小時候的照片。 T:Who is she? Guess. It is me. At that time, I had short hair and I was heavy. Look I am different now. And all of you are different now.(板書different,說出它的意思,并教讀) 2.教學active并板書句子:Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class. 請學生說意思,然后齊讀。 3.板書句子:I was short, so I couldn’t ride my bike well. Now, I go cycling every day.請學生說句子的意思,然后齊讀句子,最后請學生模仿該句子說自己的變化。如:I was short, so I couldn’t play basketball well. Now, I play it every day. 4.學生自己讀對話,回答問題:How did Mike change? 5.學生講解對話,教師答疑。 6.放錄音,學生跟讀。 7.學生三人一組分角色朗讀對話。 8.根據(jù)P36頁底內容提示,結合所學單詞及句子談論家人或朋友的變化。 可以利用課件展示語文課本上的一些文化名人的新老照片,開拓學生的視野。 作業(yè)設計 1.熟讀Let’s talk課文。 2.自主預習Read and write。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now different active Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class. I was short, so I couldn’t ride my bike well. Now, I go cycling every day. 第三課時 教學過程 批注 一、Warm-up & Revision 1.Review the words and phrases and sentences in Unit 4.(多操練)教師準備動詞(短語)小卡片,如:play badminton, eat food, drink water, run, go cycling, ice-skate等。 2. Play a game. 全班一起玩擊鼓傳花的游戲,教師準備一個氣球或小球,教師喊開始,學生之間傳遞此物,教師喊停,物品所在者和上一位合作表演,一位做動作,另一位出示動作對應的卡片。 二、Presentation & Practice Read and write 1.出示單詞卡片或圖畫,教學單詞:race, nothing, thought, felt, cheetah, trip, woke, dream并板書,教讀,學生跟讀。 2.學生獨立閱讀課文,邊讀邊理解。畫出不理解的句子。 3.教師幫助學生理解句子并板書:(1)There were many animals in that race. (2)But suddenly he tripped and fell. 4.領讀課文并糾正讀音。抽學生理解課文,并答疑。 5.Listen to the passage. 6.Number the pictures. 7. Finish exercises: (1)吳一凡正在向媽媽描述他做的夢。再次聽課文錄音,學生完成P39對話填空題。 (2)學生根據(jù)本課所學,寫幾句話描述一個有趣的夢,完成P39的寫作任務。請2—3位學生起來讀讀他們所寫的句子,描述做過的有意思的夢。 學生先自己讀,再和錄音跟讀,找找自己讀得不標準的地方。 作業(yè)設計 1.熟讀課文。 2.自主預習Let’s wrap it up。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now There were many animals in that race. But suddenly he tripped and fell. 第四課時 教學過程 批注 二、 Warm-up & Revision 1.教師給每組分發(fā)相同的動詞短語小紙片,如:play badminton, eat food,drink water,run,go cycling,ice-skate等。一個學生在臺上做動作,小組合作排序,比一比哪個小組排得又快又準。 2.同桌二人運用所給的動詞短語,運用過去時和現(xiàn)在時的對比描述來寫出變化。如: I couldn’t run very fast before. Now, I run like a cheetah. I was so short. I couldn’t go cycling. But I go cycling every day now. 操練前面所學內容,為新課預熱。 二、Presentation & Practice Let’s check 1.學生觀察圖片,說出圖片對應的單詞或短語。 2.教師播放錄音,在學生聽錄音為圖片標號后講評訂正。 3.教師再次播放錄音,學生劃掉沒有聽到的詞匯。請一名學生念答案,教師講評訂正。 Let’s wrap it up 1. Leading-in T:Changes are all around us.Talk about the changes below. 2.組織學生觀察和比較五幅圖片,了解變化。 3.同桌二人相互介紹這五幅圖的變化,強化訓練過去時和現(xiàn)在時的對比區(qū)分。如:T:It was raining. Now, it is sunny. (區(qū)分was, is) 4.請學生起來仿照例句描述圖片。 Story time 1. 引入本部分的學習。 T: Look,Zoom and Zip are talking about changes.Let’s read. 2.教師呈現(xiàn)Story time掛圖,學生觀察主圖,閱讀故事,了解故事大概,畫出不理解的句子。 3.聽錄音,仿讀并理解故事。 4.再次播放錄音,讓學生邊聽邊看課文。聽完后和同桌兩人互相幫助整理出故事的大意。 5.鼓勵學生給大家講講這個故事,可分三段讓不同學生完成。 本部分的趣味故事從A、B部分關注周邊環(huán)境、關注自我升華到一個更宏大的層次——拯救世界,讓這個世界變成更美好的人間。 作業(yè)設 計 抄寫并背誦本單元重點詞匯和句字。 板書設計 Unit 4 Then and now It was raining. Now… In summer, the tree was green. Now… There was a building before. Now… It was an egg. Now… Chen Jie was short. Now she is 1.5 metres tall. The cat was on the chair. Now… 本部分以個人的變化展開,以聽、說、讀、寫的形式,學習并鞏固表示活動的動作詞語go cycling,ice-skate,play badminton,要求能夠運用句型“Before,...couldn’t ...Now,...can ...”來對比描述能力、愛好的變化。教師在教學過程中,可以將以前學過的動詞短語也拿出來溫故復習。Story time部分出現(xiàn)三種時態(tài),學生要注意觀察和比較。教師在教學過程中要注意培養(yǎng)學生愛護家園的美好情感。- 配套講稿:
